The following Ordinance was offered by Harvey who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Marshall:
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING MAYOR FRIDAY ELLIS TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTIES RELATED TO STATE PROJECT NO. H.013972 – YOUNGS BAYOU DETENTION POND, OUACHITA PARISH AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:
WHEREAS, by Resolution Number 8072, the City hired Smith R/W Specialist to perform negotiations, title work and right-of-way acquisitions and/or relocations for the Youngs Bayou Detention Pond, State Project No. H.013972, Ouachita Parish, and
WHEREAS, Smith R/W Specialist LLC has performed services connected therewith, said acquisitions requiring the acceptance of real property.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Monroe City Council in legal and regular session convened that Mayor Friday Ellis be and is hereby authorized and empowered to sign any and all documents in connection with the acquisition of properties required to complete Youngs Bayou Detention Pond, State Project No. H.013972, Ouachita Parish.
This Ordinance was introduced on the 14th day of March, 2023.
Notice published on the 17th day of March, 2023.
This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:
AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on 28th day of March, 2023.
