NO. 12,125

The following Ordinance was introduced by Dawson who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Harvey:

ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE AUTHORIZED MILLAGE RATE(S) AND PROVIDING FOR THE LEVYING OF SPECIAL AND GENERAL TAXES FOR THE CITY OF MONROE FOR THE YEAR 2022:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following millage(s) are hereby levied on the 2022 tax roll on all property subject to taxation by the City of Monroe:

 

MILLAGE

            General Alimony                                            10.490 mills

Safety Services                                                  1.070 mills

Recreation Facilities                                          1.880 mills

Police Department                                            1.500 mills

Fire Department                                                1.500 mills

LA Purchase Gardens & Zoo                           2.500 mills

CivicCenter Complex                                                  2.500 mills

Drainage Facilities                                            1.310 mills

Capital Improvements                                       3.260 mills

Airport Improvements                                      1.010 mills

TOTAL                                                                                  27.020 mills

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper administrative officials of the Parish of Ouachita, State of Louisiana, be and they are hereby empowered, authorized, and directed to spread said taxes, as hereinabove set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parish for the year 2022, and to make the collection of the taxes imposed for and on behalf of the taxing authority, according to law, and that the taxes herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privilege on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and collection thereof shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.

This Ordinance was introduced on the  14th day of June, 2022.

Notice published on the  17th day of  June, 2022.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson

NAYS: None.

ABSENT: None.

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  28th day of  June, 2022.
