STATE OF LOUISIANA                                                                       NO.  12,148                      

CITY OF MONROE

 

The following Ordinance was introduced by Mr. Harvey                who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mrs.  Ezernack         :

 

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MONROE TO GRANT TO ENTERGY LOUISIANA, LLC AN OVERHEAD RIGHT OF WAY FOR ELECTRICAL UTILITIES                                            

WHEREAS, the City of Monroe is undertaking certain rehabilitation and renovation work on existing City facilities which will require the relocation of existing electrical utilities to accomplish said work; and

 

WHEREAS,  to accomplish the relocation, and in consultation with Entergy Louisiana, LLC, the City desires to grant to Entergy Louisiana, LLC new overhead rights-of-way within the vicinity of the project; and

 

WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into the attached and incorporated Overhead Right-of-Way Instrument with Entergy Louisiana, LLC for the purpose of its installing and maintaining electrical utilities;

 

WHEREAS, the grant of right-of-way by this Ordinance is needed and necessary for the City’s ongoing projects; and

 

ORDINANCE INTRODUCED on the  23rd           day of  January          , 2023.

 

NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  27th             day of  January          , 2023.

 

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

 

AYES:            Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson

 

NAYS:            None.

 

ABSENT:      None.

 

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  14th     day of  February         , 2023.
