ORDINANCE

STATE OF LOUISIANA                                                                            NO.  12,091               

CITY OF MONROE                                                                                                                                                           

            The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Ezernack                        , who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ms.  Woods                              :

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY BETWEEN THE CITY OF MONROE AND ROBERT KENDELL STONE AND CYNTHIA GRACE BENNETT STONE PURSUANT TO LA. R. S. 33:4712 AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.___________________________________________________

            WHEREAS, the City of Monroe owns certain property, Tract 2, 0.666 acres as described herein on the attached Exhibit “A” and Boundary Survey attached as Exhibit “B”;

            WHEREAS, Robert Kendell Stone and Cynthia Grace Bennett Stone own certain property, Tract 1, 0.622 acres, as more fully described on the attached Exhibit “C” and Boundary Survey attached as Exhibit “D”;

            WHEREAS, both pieces of property are located in the same general area and the property owned by Robert Kendell Stone and Cynthia Grace Bennett Stone, is needed for drainage improvements; and

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe that the exchange of property owned by the City of Monroe described herein and the property owned by Robert Kendell Stone and Cynthia Grace Bennett Stone described herein is hereby authorized and Stacey Rowell, the Director of Administration, is hereby authorized to sign all necessary documents to effectuate the exchange of properties described herein.

            ORDINANCE INTRODUCED on the  9th      day of  November              , 2021.

            NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  12th, 19th & 26th    day of  November                  , 2021.

            This ordinance having been substituted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

            AYES:            Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson

            NAYS:            None.

            ABSENT:      None.

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  14th    day of  December                   , 2021.
