STATE OF LOUISIANA

CITY OF MONROE                                                                                         NO.  11,984                 

            The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs. Ezernack                     who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Harvey                :

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF A SERVITUDE ON, OVER AND ACROSS CERTAIN PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF MONROE IN FAVOR OF THE PARISH OF OUACHITA THROUGH THE OUACHITA PARISH POLICE JURY (OPPJ), AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO                                                                                                                                   

WHEREAS, OPPJ has requested that the City of Monroe grant a servitude and the right to enter upon the property owned by the City of Monroe, Louisiana, described hereinbelow, to-wit:

This servitude would allow the OPPJ to construct and maintain the drainage structure in “Hannah’s Run,” the waterway that runs from Bayou DeSiard to Black Bayou Lake along the north side of Treasure Island Subdivision.  There is presently a control structure at this location, but the pipe must be replaced, and

NOW, THEREFOREAND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:iver, and on the north

west by the centerlined to include Section 7 to read as follo BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the requested servitude, the complete terms and conditions of which are attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and is hereby approved.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that James E. Mayo, Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized to execute the attached OPPJ Grant Of Servitude Agreement on behalf of the City of Monroe.

            This Ordinance was INTRODUCED on the  10th        day of  March                         , 2020.

            NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  13th        day of  March               , 2020.

            This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a final vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

            AYES:              Harvey, Ezernack, Woods & Wilson

            NAYS:             None.

            ABSENT:         Clark

            And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  24th       day of  March   , 2020.
