ORDINANCE

PARISH OF OUACHITA

          The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Ezernack                        who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Clark                     :

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 9144 TO CHAPTER 25 OF THE MONROE CITY CODE RELATIVE TO PARKS, RECREATION AND BOATING, SECTION 71, ENTITLED PARK HOURS, AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:                                                                                __________________

            WHEREAS, the current provisions contained in Chapter 25, Section 71 contain a provision wherein all parks and recreation areas maintained, operated and/or owned by the City of Monroe shall be closed to the public between the hours of 12:00 am until 5:00 am;

WHEREAS, the City of Monroe desires to amend those hours so that all parks and recreation areas maintained, operated and/or owned by the City of Monroe shall be closed to the public between the hours of 10:00 pm until 6:00 am;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that Chapter 25, Section 71 of the City of Monroe Code, entitled Parks, Recreation and Boating” be and is hereby amended and enacted as follows:

Sec. 25-71. - Closing hours.

All parks and recreation areas maintained, operated and/or owned by the city of Monroe shall be closed to the public between the hours of 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

                This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

            AYES:            Ezernack, Woods & Clark

            NAYS:            None.

            ABSENT:       Wilson & Echols

            And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  10th    day of  December         , 2019.
