ORDINANCE

CITY OF MONROE                                                                                   

The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Dawson____________, who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Marshall________________:

WHEREAS, Section 5-04 of the City Charter of the City of Monroe, Louisiana provides for supplementing and adjusting the Operating Budget of the City of Monroe; and

WHEREAS, Mayor Friday Ellis has presented to the City Council a Supplemental Budget of Revenues and Expenditures supplementing the Budget for the Fiscal Year 2023-2024, which is attached hereto and made part hereof.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the 2023-2024 Operating Budget of the City of Monroe, General Fund and Special Revenue Funds be and are hereby amended and supplemented in accordance with the attached Supplemental Budget of Revenues and Expenditures.

This Ordinance was introduced on March  26th _____, 2024.

Notice published on  April 1st____, 2024.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced, and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

AYES:            Ezernack, Marshall & Dawson

NAYS:            None.

ABSENT:       Harvey, Woods

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on  April 23rd_________, 2024.
