CITY OF MONROE

            The following Ordinance was introduced by  Harvey                   who moved for its adoption, and was seconded by Ezernack                            :

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING MAYOR FRIDAY ELLIS TO SIGN ALL DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTIES RELATED TO STATE PROJECT NO. H.007300 HIGHWAY: KANSAS LANE – GARRETT ROAD CONNECTOR & I-20 IMPROVEMENTS ROUTE: LA 594 OUACHITA PARISH AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:  

WHEREAS, byResolution Number 7870, the City hired Smith R/W Specialist to perform negotiations, title work and right-of-way acquisitions and/or relocations for the Kansas Lane-Garrett Road Connector & I-20 Improvements S.P.N. H.007300 project; 

            WHEREAS, Smith R/W Specialist LLC has performed services connected therewith, said acquisitions requiring the acceptance of real property;         

            NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Monroe City Council in legal and regular session convened that Mayor Friday Ellis be and is hereby authorized and empowered to sign any and all documents in connection with the acquisition of properties required to complete STATE PROJECT NO. H.007300 HIGHWAY: Kansas Lane – Garrett Road Connector & I-20 Improvements ROUTE: LA 594 Ouachita Parish. 

            This Ordinance was introduced on the  13th        day of  December            , 2022. 

            Notice published on the  16th             day of  December                  , 2022. 

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows: 

AYES:            Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson

NAYS:            None. 

ABSENT:       None.

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on  27th       day of  December              , 2022.
