CITY OF MONROE NO. 12,121
The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs. Dawson who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr. Harvey :
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LEASE - PURCHASE OF (125) VERKADA CLOUD- BASED SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS AND RELATED (10) YEAR LICENSING AND EQUIPMENT, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS / MONROE CIVIC CENTER OFF STATE CONTRACT AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:_______________ __________________________________________
WHEREAS, the City of Monroe/Monroe Civic Center desires to lease -purchase (125) one hundred and twenty-five cloud-based surveillance cameras and related (10) year licensing and equipment for its use to enhance and ensure the safety and security of its assets, clients, patrons and employees; and desires to enter into a lease-purchase agreement with Howard Industries and their agent TEQ Lease;
WHEREAS, the City desires to lease-purchase the aforementioned cameras and equipment described in the attached Lease Agreement and Quotation and further described therein and said funds have been budgeted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that Friday Ellis, Mayor, be and is hereby authorized and empowered, on behalf of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, to execute a lease agreement with Howard Industries and their agent TEQ Lease as per the terms and conditions of the attached agreement(s) and further authorizing Friday Ellis to sign all documents necessary to accomplish the purposes of the lease agreement.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:
AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the 10th day of May , 2022.
