Ordinance #12,017 - Emergency
EMERGENCY ORDINANCE
STATE OF LOUISIANA
CITY OF MONROE NO. 12,017
The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs. Ezernack who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ms. Woods :
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE FAILURE OF PUMP #3 AT THE LAMY LANE STORM WATER STATION AN EMERGENCY NECESSITATING IMMEDIATE REPAIR AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.
WHEREAS, pump motor #3 at the Lamy Lane storm water station has recently failed, has an internal oil leak which is preventing it from being properly lubricated, and is in need of emergency repair;
WHEREAS, the Lamy Lane storm water pump station services an area of the City from Lamy Lane to Hwy 165, also North of Tower Drive to Loop Rd and over to Bienville;
WHEREAS, the Lamy Lane station has three pumps of which only two are operational and all three may be needed if there is a heavy rain;
WHEREAS, funds will come from the Storm Water Repairs and Maintenance account.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the failure of pump #3 at the Lamy Lane Storm Water Station is hereby declared an emergency.
This Ordinance having been submitted in writing and was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:
AYES: Harvey, Ezernack, Woods, Marshall & Dawson
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the 8th day of September , 2020.
