NOTICE OF INTENTION

TO ANNEX CITY LIMITS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a request to extend the City limits of Monroe as provided in Title 33, Section 172, to the Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, is on file with the City Clerk of Monroe, Louisiana.  The request included the following described tract of land:

WHEREAS, a petition has been filed by James C. Steele IV for the annexation of ±.14 acres, requesting that the City Council extend and enlarge the boundaries of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, to include said property within said boundaries, and

WHEREAS, the legal description of these properties is:

Lot 8, Square 3, DeSiard Terrace Addition

And otherwise known as 114 LaPlata Street

APPLICANT: James C. Steele IV (ANX 103-19)

Notice is further given that no Ordinance enlarging the boundaries of the City of Monroe shall be adopted until ten (10) days after the publication hereof.  Anyone desiring to be heard with reference to the proposed extension of the City Limits shall notify the Clerk of the City of Monroe in writing prior to the adoption of the Ordinance, and a hearing will be granted.
