ORDINANCE

STATE OF LOUISIANA

CITY OF MONROE                                                                                    NO.  11,968               

 

The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Ezernack                       who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Echols                   :

 

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN EQUIPMENT LEASE AGREEMENT WITH BEN NELSON GOLF & UTILITY VEHICLES, LLC FOR GOLF CARTS FOR FORSYTHE PARK AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:_______________  __

 

WHEREAS, the City of Monroe has historically leased golf carts for the Forsythe Golf Course and the current lease will soon expire and the City desires to enter into a lease agreement with Ben Nelson Golf & Utility Vehicles, LLC;

WHEREAS, the City desires to lease the golf carts described in the attached Lease Agreement and further described therein and said funds have been budgeted.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that  James E. Mayo, Mayor, be and is hereby authorized and empowered, on behalf of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, to execute a lease agreement with Ben Nelson Golf & Utility Vehicles, LLC as per the terms and conditions of the attached agreement(s) and further authorizing James E. Mayo to sign all documents necessary to accomplish the purposes of the lease agreement.

ORDINANCE INTRODUCED ON THE  12th          day of  November      , 2019.

NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  15th  day of  November                  , 2019.

This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

 

AYES:            Echols, Ezernack, Wilson & Clark

 

NAYS:            None.

 

ABSENT:       Woods

 

And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  26th        day of   November     , 2019.
