            The following Ordinance was introduced by  Echols             who moved for its adoption and was seconded by  Wilson                           :

            NOW, THEREFORE BE  IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, LA, in legal and regular session convened, that section 15-16 (1), (2), of Chapter 15, entitled “Fire Prevention and Protection”, of the City of Monroe Code, be and is hereby amended to read:

            “Sec, 15-16 Adopted.

(1) The NFPA 1---Fire Prevention Code, 2015 Edition

(2) The NFPA 101---Life Safety Code, 2015 Edition

             be it further ordained, that this amendment shall become effective immediately upon adoption.

            This Ordinance, having been submitted in writing, introduced and published ,was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

AYES:             Echols, Ezernack, Woods & Wilson

NAYS:            None.

ABSENT:       Clark.

And the Ordinance was declared adopted on the  28th        day of  May       , 2019.
