D.A.R.E

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a 10-week program used internationally for 5th and 6th grade students. It focuses on avoiding the negative side effects of illegal and prescription drugs, tabacco, and alcohol. In addition, students learn how to respond to bullying, stress, risky situations, and peer pressure.

Primary Goal

Te teach students how to make the right, safe, and responsible decisions; how to build good friendships and recognize bad friendships; and, how to solve problems using the Dare Decision Making Model (DDMM) steps: Define (the problem), Assess (the situation), Respond (make a choice), and Evaluate (did you make a good choice).
