City Employees Begin STUFF THE TRUCK Christmas Toy Drive Led by Twin City Firefighters & Monroe Fire Department
The Twin City Firefighters Association and the Monroe Fire Department announce the beginning of their annual Stuff the Truck Toy Drive to benefit needy children this Christmas. A press conference will be held at the City of Monroe Public Safety Center, located at 1810 Martin Luther King Drive, at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 1, 2018.
The Stuff the Truck Toy Drive will be held November 1, 2018 through December 14, 2018. It is one of the November City Employee Community Benevolent Acts. The public is welcome to contribute toys toward this benevolent effort.
This year, the Stuff the Truck Toy Drive will require pre-registration in order to get toys. If you know of a family that is need, please refer them to us. The pre-registration site will be the City of Monroe Public Safety Center (Fire Administration side) located at 1810 Martin Luther King Drive (U.S. 165 South) during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday. The deadline to register will be 4 pm Friday, December 14, 2018
In 2017, with the assistance of City of Monroe employees, the Twin City Firefighters Association and Monroe Fire Department collected more than five hundred toys during last year’s drive. Their goal for 2018 is to collect and distribute 1,000 toys!
