City Employee Community Benevolent Acts MARCH MENTORING MOMENTS – Promoting Literacy
Mayor Jamie Mayo and the Monroe City Council are pleased to announce the third City Employee Community Benevolent Project of 2018 will take place beginning Friday, March 2, 2018.
PROJECT NAME: Mentoring Moments – Promoting Literacy in Local Elementary Schools.
SUMMARY: City Engineer Kim Golden and our Engineering department is leading this month’s effort. Dozens of City employees will be volunteer readers and literacy mentors at multiple schools, and a Monroe Housing Authority development during the month of March. A schedule of reading times and locations is listed below:
